Evidence of its ancient origins, including Celtic altars with ritual cup marks and Templar-era symbols, such as the characteristic Templar cross.<\/p>\n<p>Architectural elements such as a high stone tower and a Visconti fortress with traditional Ghibelline battlements.<\/p>\n<p>Inside, there is a chapel dedicated to Saint Antoninus and Saint Anne, featuring an interesting Romanesque apse and 14th-century frescoes.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1200s, it belonged to the Guala family of Casalvolone; throughout the 1300s, it was held by the Visconti family of Milan, who embellished it with several single-light windows\u2014a characteristic feature of Lombard castles\u2014one of which is considered among the most beautiful in Piedmont. From the 1400s through the 1800s, it belonged to the Avogadro family.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1978: Owned by the Cavallari family, who have carried out extensive restoration work, converting part of the castle into a residence while opening it for events, exhibitions, fairs, and cultural activities.
